Import Declarations
Import declarations and import customs clearances are required for all goods from a third country (non-EU country) and this means there is a customs and tax transfer for free transit in the EU.
This also applies to all deliveries of goods from third countries, as well as from the EU to Switzerland.
These declarations are taken care of by NIETEN Customs Service via electronic customs systems and can therefore be carried out location-independent at any customs office for the relevant customs clearance country by NIETEN Customs Service:
• In Germany with IT customs system ATLAS
• In Switzerland with IT customs system edec
• In Austria with IT customs system e-zoll
Compliance with all tax and customs regulations, legal import requirements and approvals, customs preferences and origin rights, as well as the correct tariff selection and customs value calculation requires extensive expertise in order to avoid excessive customs duties and carry out lawful import declarations.
Selecting the correct customs procedure, whether it's regular import customs, duty-free rear clearance of goods, the EU import declaration without tax collection, individual or collective customs procedures, are subject to different conditions and their implementation also requires extensive expertise.
For EU-based companies that do not have their own tax account in Germany, fiscal customs clearance via a fiscal representative can have many benefits.
With NIETEN Customs Service you have a competent and experienced company with decades of experience on your side that you can trust for all customs procedures and service requirements.
